We'll make sure your request falls in line with Nike's Giving Guidelines, as well as fits with our program's current goals and capabilities. Please do not begin collecting shoes until you've completed this form and received approval information.

About Your Shoe Drive

** Please note that we will be out of collection bins and Community Activist kits until April 1, 2010. If you request bins for drives starting after April 1, we will ship your bins as soon as we receive them. If you apply for a shoe drive beginning before April 1, you will not receive any bins. **

How many free collapsible Nike Reuse-A-Shoe bins would you like?

Maximum 2 per drive. If you plan to reuse bins from another group, please select 0.

How many free Community Activist Kits would you like?

Maximum 2 per drive. Each kit contains directions, 2 posters, 10 flyers, 50 buttons, and 50 stickers.

Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Community Activist Agreement

Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Collection Agreement

This agreement is between NIKE, INC. and your organization (“Organization”) regarding the collection of shoes for Nike Reuse-A-Shoe’s North America retail store collection program (known as “community activist program”).

Nike, Inc., will provide the following to Organization for purposes of participation in and promotion of the Reuse-A-Shoe program (RAS). Organization will agree to abide by the following guidelines outlined in this agreement. This Collection Agreement may be terminated at any time by either party for any reason or for no reason.

  1. Nike’s Responsibilities

    Program Logistics:

    • Assign Organization’s drive to an appropriate Nike North America retail location;
    • Coordinate backend logistics of the RAS program including transportation, processing and reuse;
    • Recycle all acceptable shoes;
    • Fund transportation costs of pairs of athletic shoes from the assigned Nike retail location to Nike’s recycling center.
    Communication/Promotion:
    • Provide access to free shoe drive marketing materials, including:
      • Up to two (2) drive organizer toolkits, including fliers, posters, stickers and buttons.
      • Up to two (2) collapsible bins.
      • Downloadable tips and rules information.
  2. Organization’s Responsibilities

    In return for the above materials and services Organization will:

    • Provide one point of contact for communication with Nike. This person will communicate all necessary information about the program to all of those involved in Organization’s collection program;
    • Organize frontend collection logistics which best suit your community;
    • Collect only athletic shoes, of any brand, for this program in the way that best suits the Organization and its community;
    • Sort and remove metal and non-athletic shoes from containers;
    • Bring all shoes collected to the assigned Nike retail location;
    • Agree to use only the promotional creative materials designed for this program;
    • Agree to collect no more than 200 pairs of shoes during the duration of your drive;
    • Agree to limit collection periods to a maximum of four weeks.
    In addition, the Organization is encouraged to perform the following program components:
    • Incorporate local community as best as possible;
    • Maintain a website linked to the RAS website;
    • Involve elected officials in local events.
  3. By selecting “I agree” and submitting your Community Activist application, you are agreeing to abide by the above-outlined rules for your group’s shoe drive, and are confirming that you have the authority to submit an application on your organization’s behalf.
