Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Gets Schooled
Pop quiz, kids: What do September, sneakers and some serious recycling action have in common? Back to school, of course!
This semester, we’ve got dozens of groups – from kindergarten classes to college courses – hitting hallways and combing campuses to collect old kicks.
What about you? If you’re a student, teacher or faculty member, you could host your own shoe drive this fall and collect up to 200 pairs of worn-out kicks in your community.
And for you moms and dads gearing up for back-to-school shopping, don’t forget: now’s the perfect time to get rid of last year’s castoffs. If your kids’ old gear is still in good shape, consider looking for a local shoe donation organization. But if those old kicks have kicked it for good, send ‘em to us – because even the most trashed shoe doesn’t have to be garbage.
PS – Not in school? You don’t have to call the registrar to get your group educated on recycling…but you do need to apply. Sign up for a shoe drive now.
